This is a purely delightful Cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The Cabernet Sauvignon gives the wine density and structure, the Merlot fruitiness and warm tannins.

This deep red Hungarian impresses with its complex aromas: Juicy cherry, delicate spicy notes and a hint of fragrant hay caress the senses. The palate unfolds delicate spicy aromas and soft, velvety tannins. The exquisite sweetness gives it its velvety and harmonic structure. A unique, easy drinking and delightful red wine.

About this wine from

Hajós-Baja, Hungary

The Hajós-Baja wine district is located on the western reaches of the low Loess plateau between the Danube and Tisza River. The climate is similar to that of the neighbouring Kunság region, with a harsh winter, an extremely hot summer and a modest annual rainfall to which the vines are well-adapted to. The biggest risk that the winemaker faces here is frost, particularly in the winter and the early spring. The village of Hajós, from which the district takes its name, boasts a famous cellar row consisting of some 1200 cellars, which is unique in the country. The viticulture history of the region experienced a great change in the 18th century, when the ethnic Slav minority was displaced by a new wave of German settlers who brought know-how and an ethos of hard work to cultivating the vineyards.
